Programs in Brooks:

Joyful Voices :

musical notes Mondays 10:00-12:00 in the SPEC ParentLINKcentre activity room. Moms and their little ones have the opportunity to come and experience Music TheSPEC ParentLINKcentre hosts this program. Through music we can build confident, Joyful people. All programs are structured for parent involvement. Infant and toddler classes run on Monday and Wednesday from 10:00-12:00.  To register or for more information contact Rochelle Galeski at 403-501-5763

Little Links: New Program

Griffin Park School had kindly offered to host a Little Links  after school program Thursdays from 3:00-4:30. We also have Little Links for Central School and Holy Family academy at the Lakeside Leisure Center, Mondays from 3:00-4:30.

We continue our usual schedule of all other Little Links Programs in  the rural areas. Check  our Jan news letter. Call Ruby at 362-5056 to register.

 

 

Baby & Me:

mom and baby clip art imageA drop-in program for moms and their babies ages 0-12 months.  Tuesdays 10:00-11:00 in the SPEC ParentLINKcentre room 117. Moms and babies are welcome to join us for a time of nursery rhyme singing and socializing.

This program is offered at the SPEC ParentLINKcentre in partnership with The Brooks and District Child Development Society.

 

 


Parent & Tots:

parent holding a childCome on over to the Lakeside Leisure Centre to meet other parents and let your little ones interact with their peers. Activities and toys provided for children to learn through play. Sessions take place every Tuesday and Thursday 9:30-10:45 during school term time.

STOP by  DROP in  and  PLAY

The SPEC ParentLINKcentre is a great place where you can feed and change your baby, stay and play with your kids in our fun activity room, share with staff your ups and downs of parenting. We have parenting brochures, videos and resources, internet access. Play based learning activities are available for your babies and pre-schoolers. At the SPEC ParentLINKcentre pre-schoolers can develop their language and social skills while learning through play.

Toddler Nutrition:

Come to the SPEC ParentLINKcentre and learn more about Toddler Nutrition with a registered Dietitian. Childcare available.

Be sure to check out the kiosks at The Medicine Hat College-Brooks Campus,  The Southeast Alberta Child and Family Services (Cassils Road East), Rolling Hills Library,  The Bassano Medical Clinic Waiting Room (Hospital) and the Community Cultural Centre Foyer for brochures and information on parenting and childhood development.

Developmental Screen - Wednesdays 9:00am-12:00pm:

Are you wondering if your child is on track developmentally?  The SPEC ParentLINKcentre offers The Ages & Stages Questionnaire Screenings.  Come in and talk to staff if you have concerns, questions or want to schedule a time.

As a parent of a young child, you are the most important person in your child's life. You want to raise your child to be respectful, self reliant, happy, healthy, confident, cooperative, and responsible.

Nobody’s Perfect
